Energy Statements for Planning

Energy Statements for Planning are often required by local authorities to demonstrate a development will meet am imposed obligation to obtain a percentage reduction of carbon emissions against current regulations. Depending on the authority concerned Energy Statements may require to show a 10% reduction by the use of renewable energy technologies such as photovoltaics, solar thermal, wind or CHP (Combined Heat & Power) or they may require a 20% improvement on Building Regulations through the use of a so called Energy Hierarchy.
